Establishment of TiSUN GmbH in Söll, Austria, focusing on solar thermal technologies for heating and hot water.
Innovation and Scalability
A major technological milestone was the 1998 patent application for the Pro-Clean® stratified tank, followed by the implementation of TiSUN's first large-scale residential project in Innsbruck in 1999, featuring over 1,000 m² of collector surface.
Strategic Establishment of TiSUN GCC
In early December 2011, TiSUN officially founded its subsidiary, TiSUN GCC FZC, in Dubai to serve the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets. By 2012, this branch became the central hub for distribution across Bahrain, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Landmark Projects and Major Relaunch
Following its GCC establishment, the company achieved high-profile regional successes, such as providing solar thermal systems for the Al Ain stadium in Abu Dhabi and a major chocolate factory in Dubai. In 2014, TiSUN celebrated its 25th anniversary with its "biggest relaunch," simplifying its product line to focus on the patented Plug & Flow Module (PFM).
2017-2018
Strategic Acquisition and Restructuring
In 2017, the Austrian supplier Sonnenkraft acquired TiSUN through a two-stage purchase of all company shares. This was followed by a strategic restructuring in early 2018 to stabilize the brand and strengthen its global market position.
